Speakonomics! ™ Consulting and Coaching

The enemy of the business speaker is sameness

“If you, Susan, can guess what I say in my typical speech after knowing me for only an hour, I realize how boring and predictable I’ve been. I’ve got to change what I say!” Dee Campbell, Vangent, Inc.

What makes a sporting event, a concert, a movie or a conference or meeting exciting? Unpredictability!

  • How will they play?
  • What will they say?
  • Who will win?

We’re naturally drawn to the excitement of ever-changing action. Are you exciting your audiences?

You must be exciting from start to finish –If you want to be memorable and top of mind

It’s confidence, not weakness, which leads successful people to work with a coach

They’re confident about their natural talent and their work ethic.

They’re confident that coaching is the quickest, surest way to achieve success

“It’s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.” Bear Bryant, Coach

Speakonomics! ™ consulting and coaching does for your speaking what Bear Bryant did for the University of Alabama–become a legend and leave a legacy

A coach will take you to a higher level because a coach sees what you cannot see

“Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.” -Vincent Van Gogh

You can write your best speech and practice it again and again and all you’ll have is a well-written and practiced speech that makes you happy! You know what you’re saying — but you won’t know what the audience is hearing

  • Does your speech make the audience happy?
  • Does your speech include only the very best words?
  • Does your speech put every punch word in the right place?
  • Does your speech bring the audience to you?
  • Is your speech filled with variety?
  • Is your speech exciting?
  • Is your speech a speech that people will remember and repeat?

Speakonomics! ™ consulting and coaching helps you bring small things together for great impact

Coaching is teaching that leads to transformation

“We might possess every technological resource…but if our language is inadequate our vision remains formless, our thinking and feeling is running in the old cycles; our process may be “revolutionary” but not transformative.”-Adrienne Rich

Knowing a technique and using that technique are not the same.

  • Do you dislike writing your speeches and presentations?
  • Do you dislike revising and polishing?
  • Do you think you’re too busy to invest so much in your speech or presentation?
  • Do you think that good enough is good enough?
  • Do you think that you should keep on doing what you’ve been doing?

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Speakonomics! ™ consulting and coaching improves your vision and your language; includes just enough and nothing superfluous; and turns you into an agent of transformation.

“Be fair to your audiences. Give them outstanding speeches or presentations that unmistakably transform them and help them meet their own needs.”-Susan Trivers, Executive Speaking Coach
