Speakonomics!™

Four Little Words You Must Know to Make More Money

Advertisers do it, marketing experts do it, 24 hour media do it—you must do it too. What is it? It is tapping into how and why people pay attention, and what makes a message memorable—sticky and long lasting.

You're focused on the presentation or speech, so you're singled-minded. Your focus comes easily.

The audience comes in with many things on their minds. They don't start paying attention until they arrive in front of you. You need to capture them where they're at and then work to keep them with you.

Speakonomics!™

Four Little Words You Must Know to Make More Money

  • Avoid jargon that causes their audiences to tune out…so they won't miss a word of your message
  • Incorporate originality…so they don't bore the audience to tears
  • Tell great stories (not facts & figures) to get the audience to respond to their call-to-action…so they see themselves already doing what you ask
  • Get comfortable out of their comfort zone… so they're remembered for their confidence not their nervousness
  • Use their own stories, key points and a few visuals…so they'll speak with passion and authenticity
  •  Create a rhythm and flow of the content…so the audience adopts your presentation's tag line
  • Seek speaking opportunities…to promote your company to all your desired audiences

Here's what Speakonomics!™ is NOT:

  • Power point slides that shine while you stand in the corner in the dark
  • Statistics, process diagrams and bullet-filled slides
  • Business-speak, jargon or mind-numbing technical details
  • Standing rigidly behind a lectern, reciting your script
  • Faking body language and voice variations
  • Jokes and anecdotes that aren't funny

Speakonomics!™

Four Little Words You Must Know to Make More Money

is my unique approach to how you, the business speaker, can stimulate and excite your audience and in doing so, make more money.

Workshops

Workshop:

The Great Speakers Guide to COOL* Speaking
*Creative, Original, Outsized, Liberated

If you're only ‘good enough' you are NOT good enough!
Jim Collins says, “Good is the enemy of great.” Yet most people and their companies accept as ‘good enough' as good enough.

The number one skill required for exceptional business success (sales, differentiation in the market, personal career growth) is speaking eloquently and effectively in public. Invest in speech coaching and presentation skills development and you'll find yourself on the road to “great.”

The Great Speakers Guide to COOL* Speaking is Susan's systematic approach to public speaking and business presentations.

Using Susan's Speech Development System™ you'll learn:

  • To grab the attention of the audience within seconds…they'll get the importance of your message instantly
  • To add various materials that lead to your three key points…making your points interesting and memorable
  • To structure your content so your audience can remember your three key points…so they'll be persuaded by your message
  • To craft and deliver a call-to-action close…so the audience will take action

Put yourself and your team in Susan's hands and you will gain the ability to:

  • Identify the issues and concerns of the audience…that makes them listen
  • Create presentation openings that grab the attention of the audience immediately…so they'll hear the rest of your presentation
  • Identify key points…so the call-to-action makes sense
  • Craft business stories…so you match them to your key points
  • Use multimedia presentations correctly…so you don't cause death by Power Point
  • Polish your presentation style…so you are natural and confident
  • Use warm up exercises for voice and body… to improve your comfort level
  • Motivate the audience to action…so you achieve the goals of the presentation

Caution! Susan's workshops are centered on her systematic approach, which is a coaching approach. It is not training. Each workshop is designed to address the particular issues and concerns of the participants in the group. Susan will coach them to use their strengths better and to overcome their particular weaknesses.

Breakout

Is Your Slide Show Killing Your Audience?

Do you need to transmit across your company a new approach to slide-based presentations? Susan's breakout for large groups will get everyone on the same page, creating a new company style that will attract and please all your company's audiences.

Proven Audience Killers:

  • Dense and numerous Bullets
  • Process diagrams
  • Systems flow diagrams
  • Graphics that are impossible to read and mean something only to the designer
  • Too many slides
  • Corporate overviews and statistics
  • Presenters who read their slides
  • Presenters who speak facing the screen
  • Presenters who stand off to the side and put the screen in the spotlight
  • Presenters who underestimate the capabilities of the audience
  • Presenters who forget that not everyone loves the content as much as they do
  • Presenters who have distracting delivery style behaviors
  • Presenters who are nervous and fearful

Stop killing your audiences!

Slides and the multi-media & other effects you can incorporate into them can enhance your presentation. Susan's a passionate advocate for keeping the audience alive and well—so they can act upon your call-to-action (buy your product or services, perhaps?)

The ONLY Fact You need to know for Slide Presentations:
You are the presentation and the slides back you up—period!

The correct use of a slide presentation will help you:

  • Enhance the reputation and regard of you and your company…so people remember you favorably when they're looking for a vendor
  • Shine in comparison to your competitors…you've talked about them, not about you
  • Give the audience the high return on investment they are expecting…you've shown them solutions to their specific problems
  • Be memorable for keeping the audience awake, rather than for putting them to sleep…so they stick around long enough to get your whole message

And that's not all…

  • Reduce your stage fright…so you are confident and impressive
  • Use your preparation time wisely…so you spend time on the important things
  • Effectively persuade your audience…so you complete the transaction
  • Showcase your expertise…so it's clear that you can do the work (as opposed to some unknown person who put the slides together behind the scenes)
  • Strengthen your credibility…so people are eager to invest in you
  • Provide an outlet for your unique perspectives…that make you a desirable person to work with

Maybe you've had this experience: A customer pulls you aside to tell you that one of your presenters was dull and boring. Can you risk that poor presentations will harm your customer relationships?

Stop worrying that someone is going to give a presentation that makes your company look bad. Bring me in to train your group of people who speak as part of their work, and let me teach them how to make the company look great.

This Breakout works best for:
